Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become an urgent necessity for educators, including lecturers, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in teaching and research. To address this challenge, a community service program titled "Artificial Intelligence Technology for Educators: Training and Practical Application" was conducted online from August 19 to 23, 2024. The program aimed to improve AI literacy among educators, particularly through the utilization of AI-based design tools such as ChatGPT and Marvelapp within the design thinking process. The implementation method consisted of a series of interactive training sessions, demonstrations of AI tools, and simulations for prototype development based on real-world cases. Participants were engaged in the five stages of design thinking: empathizing, defining problems, ideating, prototyping, and testing. To enhance the learning experience, participants also practiced prompt engineering techniques to optimize the use of ChatGPT. The results of this activity indicated that participants were able to deeply understand the concept of design thinking and apply it using AI tools. Participants successfully developed prototypes based on innovative ideas relevant to educational and environmental challenges. The satisfaction level of participants with the training reached 90%, demonstrating the program's success in achieving its objectives. Thus, this activity not only enhanced educators' technological competencies but also encouraged the adoption of innovative approaches in teaching and community engagement. It is hoped that this initiative will serve as an effective model for community service to promote AI literacy in the education sector and inspire similar activities in the future.
