PELATIHAN PERANCANGAN ALARM DETEKSI BANJIR BAGI SISWA SMK DI PURWAKARTA GUNA MENUNJANG PERKEMBANGAN TEKNOLOGI

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) plays a very important role in the industrial revolution 4.0. The development of IoT has provided great opportunities in designing flood detection system tools. On July 2 2024, the Telecommunication Systems study program at the Indonesian Education University, regional campus in Purwakarta, held a workshop on designing an IoT-based flood detection system in Purwakarta Regency, West Java. This activity aims to provide IoT training to students, so that they understand the basic concepts of IoT and develop their potential in designing flood detection tools. This activity was attended by 20 students from 10 schools in the Purwakarta Regency area. This activity consists of 3 main stages, namely presentation of theory, practice and evaluation in the form of a questionnaire which is filled out by activity participants. The questionnaire results obtained showed that the students understood the basic concepts of IoT. Thus, this activity makes a significant contribution to their understanding of IoT.
