Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to provide knowledge to elementary school students about understanding concepts in Kalibatakur operations with steps that can make students master mathematics. This activity introduces a simple, easy, fun and enjoyable way to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication and division materials. The stages used are (1) Preparation stages, observations are carried out by conducting interviews with class teachers to collect data about the methods used in teaching mathematics, especially on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, (2) implementation stages, lectures and demonstrations are carried out on when presenting material, (3) Evaluation stages, giving questionnaires, pretest and posttest to training participants to determine the ability to understand concepts and responses of training participants during training activities. The activity participants were 60 people who were students in grades 5 and 6 of SDN Karawaci 13, Tangerang City. The training participants were enthusiastic during this activity. The results of this service are: (1) training participants understand the basic concepts of counting in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with an average of 86.5 (2) training participants find it easier and faster to calculate; (3) training participants gave a positive response to this training activity.
